Job description
Blue Arrow are recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to work with our prestigious client in the Birmingham area.
Working in a busy education setting, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations.
Key duties will include:
Food preparation
Food service and presentation
Maintaining kitchen standards
Maintaining health and safety standards
Maintaining portion control
Stock ordering
Leading the kitchen team in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
Key skills required:
Excellent leadership and organizational skills are essential.
Demonstrate a passion for service and quality.
Have the ability to priorities.
Have the ability to motivate a team.
Flexible and adaptable.
Experience of stock management
Professionalism and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the business.
Hands on operator with the ability to lead by example through operational excellence.
An excellent knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP
Knowledge of COSHH and Manual Handling Procedures.
Display composure and professionalism at all times.
Due to the nature of this role, previous experience in a management role is essential.
Hours of work:
52 week contract
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday
Term time only
Salary:
£30,000 to £33,000 per year depending on experience.
Applicants must be able to pass an enhanced DBS disclosure check.
