About Our Client
The client is a telecommunications company operating in West End London. The company specialises in Video Game development and publishing. the client has works with independent game developers from all over the world and has produced and promoted some of the most well-known games in the past decade.
Job Description
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures,
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data,
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted,
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements, communicating with the vendor if required,
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by monitoring bank statements for direct debits, checking vendor statements for late invoices not paid, and monitoring regular payment profiles,
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status (initially using Quickbooks but transferring to SAP ByDesign when implemented),
- Understand expense accounts, cost centres as well as game cost management
- Prepare and process all supplier, partner, staff expense and payroll payments so that a senior Finance Manager can approve all payments.
- Liaison with wider finance and operational teams to ensure accuracy and robust management of accruals, prepayments, deferrals, and cash advances,
- Production of supporting information as required for the Group statutory accounts audit,
- Provide cover for accounting and control tasks as required,
- Work with the wider team to develop the Finance function by improving processes, strengthening the control environment, and supporting ad-hoc finance projects.
The Successful Applicant
Accounts Payable Analyst - will possess:
- Proven experience in the Accounts Payable function, working with banking and accounting systems (SAP preferred),
- Comfortable communicating with team members at all levels, and external vendors,
- Experience operating in a multi-currency environment and working with multiple jurisdictions (US preferred),
- Mid-level experience with Excel; ability to perform basic functions such as VLOOKUP,
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and capable of meeting deadlines whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
