Job Description
The Payroll Manager will have the following duties:
- Inputting new starters onto the payroll system liaising with HR and Site managers to obtain this information.
- Receiving monthly site amendments and obtaining approval from the Head of Operations.
- Updating all changes onto the payroll system.
- Making leavers on the system, calculating holiday pay and other payments / repayments as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity in payroll system.
- Aiding the submission of payroll on a monthly basis.
- Reviewing the preview reports and ensuring any amendments are submitted for the final payroll run.
- Reconciling the Wages Control Account, PAYE Payable, and Pensions Payable ledgers on a monthly basis and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Assist with 3rd Party audit enquiries.
- Liaise with Pension providers.
- Assist in year-end payroll activities, submission of P11ds and preparing payroll summaries.
- Producing monthly journals to facilitate site payroll recharges and provide postings necessary.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance
- Other ad-hoc duties such as additional reporting which may be required from time to time
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Payroll Manager' should have:
- Previous experience in a payroll position.
- Proficiency in payroll software and knowledge of payroll tax laws.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to handle queries and explain complex information.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
