Job description

Working with a leading Client I am looking to recruit a Payroll Manager who can lead a payroll function and ensure the smooth and compliant delivery of payroll service.
This role offers a unique opportunity for you to build a department and be an instrumental part of the growth and culture of this business.
As a Payroll Manager, you will also mentor and support your team of 3 Payroll Administrators and be responsible for:
- Overall responsibility for the success and growth of the Payroll Services
- Managing all aspects of payroll processing, onboarding, and payroll advice
- Leading and managing the payroll, onboarding, and advice teams, driving operational excellence, and promoting professional development.
- Ensuring all queries are responded to and resolved within the SLA.
- Liaising directly with different entities to fully understand their payroll needs, build relationships, and manage expectations.
- Maintaining compliance with current UK payroll legislation, informing clients about any changes that may affect their business and people.
- Developing and implementing internal processes and controls to ensure quality, accuracy, and security of payroll services.
- Meeting departmental and service delivery KPIs and quality standards for the team.
- Taking ownership of service improvement initiatives, drawn from internal and external stakeholder feedback.
- Play a key role in working to enhance the payroll service offering
- Strategic planning
- Process improvements

To be considered for this role you will need to
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Payroll position in a similar sized entity
- Be able to work autonomously, be able to problem solve and demonstrate operational and strategic skills
- Have proven organisation skills and ability to prioritise
- Hold high levels of integrity and confidentiality
- Previous experience of using SAGE payroll would be an advantage

The salary on offer is paying up to £50,000 dependant on experience and qualifications with an attractive benefits package that includes hybrid working, flexibility on working hours and a generous holiday entitlement.
