Our much-loved products are distributed across the world from our modern Manufacturing and Logistics site in Aylesbury, where we have an excellent opportunity to join our busy team as a Logistics Controller to cover a period of parental leave. This is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity.
As a Logistics Controller at Medik8, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods throughout our supply chain. You will be responsible for overseeing the movement of products from our suppliers to our warehouses and distribution centres, and ultimately to our customers.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include: - Aligns capacity and business needs, to guarantee orders leave on time and in full.
- Guarantees all ongoing internal and external customer requirements are met.
- Responsible for smooth processing of all import and export movements.
- Looks for efficiencies and implementing preventative actions to improve logistics processes and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinates the team to ensure high quality standards of deliverables, meeting deadlines and minimising wastage.
Requirements:
- Have previous experience in a similar office-based role.
- Have excellent PC literacy skills.
- Be able to plan ahead and work in a systematic and organised way.
- Be analytical thinking, with the ability to apply numerical skills, thinking critically and checking for errors or variance.
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently on the phone and in person – both internally and externally.
- Familiarity with custom processes is a plus.
