Our client is looking for an IT Support Engineer to support the day to day running of the company’s IT systems by providing 1st / 2nd line support to the end user base, installing software, repairing, upgrading and deploying hardware, developing and documenting solutions, and ensuring that records are maintained.

Main Duties
- Be a visible presence around the business.
- Record end user requests for support.
- Respond to end users, helping them to overcome issues they may be experiencing.
- Advise and train end users in best-practice methods of using software and systems.
- Be an advocate for Microsoft Modern Workplace.
- Carry out hardware upgrades to Laptops and Desktop PC’s.
- Maintain a technical library of documents relating to the systems used at Coopers.
- Assist with server and infrastructure projects.
Skills and Knowledge
- At least 2 years experience in a similar IT support role.
- Be a good listener, and be able to calmly and patiently interpret what end users tell you.
- The ability to work unsupervised and be able to prioritise own workload.
- Good working knowledge of:
- Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Microsoft 365 products
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- TCP/IP networking
- Networked printing
- Azure
- SharePoint, Teams
- Good understanding of IT security principles.
- A broad experience of systems and hardware is desirable
- Any Systems Administrator experience is desirable
- Any expose to the following would be an advantage, OpenCRM, Microsoft Dynamics, DevOps, Autodesk products, SolidWorks, PowerShell, VoIP
