As a Deputy Chef Manager at Lidl, you’ll play a key part in supervising the successful running of our Warehouse cafeteria. From preparing delicious dishes to training and mentoring your colleagues, you’ll uphold our high standards of quality, presentation and dietary restrictions every day. You’ll also bring your own culinary flair to our kitchen, assisting the Chef Manager in developing seasonal menus and daily specials, while maintaining stock rotation to minimise waste and control costs. What you'll do A mentor to your kitchen team, training them on cooking techniques, food safety and proper kitchen procedures Overseeing every aspect of food preparation - from consistency to quality and timely delivery Proactively making sure that food safety and proper kitchen procedures are followed in compliance with health regulations Inspecting and reporting faulty or damaged equipment to management Confidently preparing and creating dishes alongside the Chef Manager What you'll need To apply for this role you must currently be in the role of Kitchen Assistant at the Southampton RDC A Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Catering certificate Level 2 Food Safety and Health and Safety training Strong communication skills to tackle even the trickiest conversations Substantial success in a similar role If you’re ready to get stuck in, want to get more out of your career and make a real difference, find your place at Lidl and apply now.
