You will work 37.5 hours a week alongside the multidisciplinary team at The Spinney, a service, which offers a range of care settings for men with personality disorder and/or mental illness. The purpose-built medium, low secure and rehabilitation wards, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) are all set within an 11-acre site with extensive woodland and landscaped areas. Give your career the best start by working alongside Registered Occupational Therapists, where you will provide therapeutic interventions alongside clinical programmes to support service users build a brighter future. As an Occupational Therapist, you will manage a dedicated caseload, which will see you conduct occupational therapy assessments, treatments and evaluations for therapeutic interventions, where you will identify individuals mental and physical obstacles to their daily life skills. Under supervision, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating individual and group sessions that promote patient-centred skills, confidence and recovery. This may be linked to daily living activities, such as self-care, personal interests, cooking and basic educational needs and form part of their initial and ongoing assessment. A range of training opportunities are available that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations. Your responsibilities: Liaise with internal/external agencies to ensure timely provision of patient services To organise, monitor and ensure an adequate supply of stock/session materials Provide verbal and written feedback of interventional as required within departmental policies and procedures To be successful in this role, you'll need: Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy

State Registration (HCPC) Understanding of forensic service users’ needs Evidence of ability to research, plan, implement and evaluate a project for a specific patient group Experience of working with a similar caseload Experience in providing Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment
