I am presently in the process of recruiting Primary School Teachers and a PE Teacher to join a Special Needs School located in the Norwood area.
There are four available Teacher Vacancies: - 2x KS2 Teachers - 1x PE KS3 Teacher - 1x Static Year 7 Teacher The school specialises in providing support to children with Special Educational Needs, all of whom have a diagnosis of Autism as either a primary or secondary condition, coupled with severe learning delays and complex needs. All positions are ongoing. Job Titles: Primary School Teachers and PE Teacher Daily Rate: Paid according to the Scale Location: Norwood, SE21. Start Date: Immediate Duration: Monday - Friday (Full-Time) Class Size: Approximately 9 The role involves: -Teaching pupils with very low abilities (operating at year 1 and below level)-9 pupils per classroom (approximately)-Creating learning materials and planning. -At least 3 Teaching Assistants (TAs), depending on additional individual support needs, such as medical requirements. Curriculum information: -In-house designed curriculums based on Equals pre-formal or engagement (below 18 months cognition) and semi-formal (pre-key stage standards 1 to 3/4 or P5 to P8, and under 5 years cognition). Training and support provided: -Comprehensive induction support through coaching and mentoring, including team teaching. -For new teachers: Multi-agency professional training utilising specialists, such as our privately commissioned speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists. The successful teacher will possess: -Experience in teaching in a primary school (key stages 1, 2, and 3)-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or equivalent -The ability to plan and deliver engaging yet entertaining lesson -Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff, parents, and students -An enhanced Child and Adult Workforce barred list DBS certificate *This school specifically seeks individuals with experience in primary schools, and any experience with Makaton, PECs, Soundswrite would be an added bonus.Job tags
