Corporate & Commercial Solicitor NQ + | South West
Are you a seasoned Corporate and Commercial Solicitor seeking a dynamic opportunity? TSR Legal have a brand new opportunity for a Corporate and Commercial Solicitor to join a Cheltenham based team where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a diverse array of legal matters, including:
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Investment agreements
- Shareholder agreements and joint ventures
- Corporate reorganisations
- EMI options and share schemes
- LLPs and Partnerships
- Commercial contracts
- Due diligence
Working in tandem with the Corporate and Commercial Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the firm's service offerings and clientele. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing your own portfolio of matters
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide spectrum of transactional, corporate, and commercial documents
- Understanding and assessing clients' circumstances, needs, and priorities to deliver exceptional client care
- Contributing to the growth and development of the department and the overall business
- Meeting designated billing and time recording targets
- Providing guidance to junior team members

This law firm is an independent legal practice comprising over 60 professionals, offering an extensive range of legal services to private clients and businesses. Their Corporate and Commercial team primarily serves owner-managed businesses, handling corporate transactions ranging from £500k to £25m. Approximately 20% of the workload involves advising on commercial contracts, showcasing a broad spectrum of values, subject matter, and complexity.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 5 years PQE (applicants with more or less experience are welcome)
- Demonstrable expertise in corporate law, including agreements, articles of association, LLPs, partnerships, and preferably experience in advising on commercial contracts
- Proficient in drafting legal documents with meticulous attention to detail
- Commercially minded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT savvy with proficiency in MS Office and experience using case management systems such as Proclaim
- Strong understanding of risk and compliance
