Job description
This is a really exciting time to be joining the ICT team here at Staffordshire. Using state of the art network equipment, we are about to embark on a redesign of the wider network with our partners and you will be key to making that happen.
As a Senior ICT Support Officer in our network and security team, you will have the skills, knowledge and drive to help us support our internal network.
The role will require an experience of network and communications technologies and an understanding of securing networks both on premise and in the cloud.
In addition, you will be working alongside other technical staff within ICT as well as suppliers and various partners.
Main ResponsibilitiesAdministration of Cisco networking infrastructure and Microsoft Teams telephony using Direct Access.
Help to develop new policies around securing desktop devices using Windows Defender.
Support our Wide Area Network services including both internal and third party customers.
Be a part of a helpdesk rota to help resolve incidents and requests for change.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have experience of supporting end users and wishes to progress to supporting the wider infrastructure.
An understanding of network technologies with a desire to become a subject matter expert.
An ability to react proactively in a busy team with competing demands and a large customer base.
