- The Model Factory Team is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist experienced in all aspects of Data Science lifecycle, from data acquisition and cleaning to designing experiments, model building, deployment, monitoring, and communication of insights.
- You would primarily focus on designing experiments and data science strategies that support productionisation of challenging Data Science, Machine Learning and Deep Learning projects.
- As a Data Scientist, you would also undertake activities such as conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, designing hackathon case studies, and engaging in other such activities that will foster a knowledge-sharing and collaborative environment.
- Accountability: Owns and takes responsibility for the quality and delivery of the assigned tasks
- Communication: Effectively communicates complex technical concepts to a diverse audience including technical, and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
- Collaboration: Works effectively as a part of the team, fostering a supportive and knowledge sharing environment
- Project Management: Demonstrates the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage data science work, including creating roadmaps and timelines
- Problem solving and critical thinking: Identifies challenges and implements innovative and efficient solutions to address them
- Programming Languages: Python
- Machine Learning (Supervised, Unsupervised, Reinforcement) and Deep Learning Frameworks: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras etc.
- Data Analysis & Visualisation Tools and Libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Matplot-lib, Seaborn, etc.
- Experience in Designing Data Science experiments, Statistical Analysis and Modelling
- Experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud Environment & its services such as DevOps, Azure ML etc.
- Experience in Database systems: SQL Server etc
- Experience in Version Control Systems: Azure Repos, Git, etc.
- Experience or knowledge of Computer Vision algorithms is a plus
- Around 8 years of experience in a Data Science or related role
- Ability to work in hybrid environment with at least one day per week on-site in Derby.
- Enthusiasm for conducting knowledge sharing sessions and fostering a collaborative team environment
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing and aerospace industry is highly beneficial
- Experience in Databricks is a plus
- Knowledge of Dashboarding tools like PowerBI is a plus
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a plus
- Knowledge of tools like MATLAB, Weights & Biases and MLFlow is a plus
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Apache Spark, Data Lake, Delta Lake etc. is a plus
