Job description

We are eager to hear from immediately available candidates in the Eastbourne and local areas, that are open to new temporary or contract positions. Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant, to join their team on a rolling, monthly basis, to assist with a busy period in the AP department.

Duties may include:

• Processing large quantities of invoices, coding, batching etc.
• Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs, as well as ad hoc payments
• Managing internal and external queries, as well as manging the inbox.
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Processing expenses
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Ad hoc support on projects, assisting the Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will:

• Be available on immediate notice and interested in temporary or contract opportunities.
• Strong Excel skills – ability to navigate VLOOKUP's, sumif's, pivot tables etc.
• Exposure to different accounting systems, such as Sage.
• Previously experience within an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Accounts/Finance Assistant level position.
• AAT qualifications (desired not essential).
• Ability to commute to offices on a hybrid or full–time basis
