Job description
Required to start Spring Term 2024 or as soon as possible. A teacher with the ability to teach students with various needs up to GCSE level. The person appointed will be joining a team of committed and mutually supportive staff. The Horizon School invite applications from specialists of all curriculum areas, in particular Science.
The post would suit a teacher wishing to extend their experience to working with young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. The Horizon School staff are highly valued and there is a strong commitment to continuous professional development. Working primarily with KS3-KS4 pupils, the successful candidate must have experience of teaching accredited courses, empathy for working with young people who have faced challenges and a passion to see them succeed. A conversation with our Head of School, Sarah Nevison, and a potential visit to the school are encouraged.
