Location: Tamworth
Contract: Full time, Permanent

About the Job 

 
As a Health and Safety Manager you will champion and promote health and safety awareness across the site. You will co-ordinate and monitor safety related processes including risk assessment, training, accident investigation, workplace safety audits and that inspections are being satisfactorily completed. You will support audits and share best practice across the sites regarding all Health and Safety matters, and you will also work closely with facilities to ensure Contractors work safely on site.

  • Demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety legislation with experience in a similar role
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is essential, IOSH membership (TechIOSH) or equivalent is desirable 
  • Experience of SSOW/SOP writing
  • Experience of Accident/Incident Investigation
  • Experience in successfully dealing with external regulatory bodies
  • 3PL experience is advantageous
  • Automotive experience desirable
  • Flexible and committed to achieving team/site objectives
  • Ability to build credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders – a skilled communicator
  • Ability to exercise sound and logical judgement
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to work to targets and timescales
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A commitment to self-development and team development
  • Good data analysis skills and computer literate
