Credit and Collections Specialist (Temporary)
JOB TITLE: Credit and Collections Specialist
REPORTS TO: Credit and Collections Manager
Location: Ornua Foods UK, Leek
Contract: Temporary contract until 31st May 2024
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (10am-3pm)
Salary: £24,000 to £27,000 (Pro Rata) depending on experience

Ornua is actively seeking a Credit and Collection Specialist join our Finance department as we continue our growth trajectory. The Credit and Collections Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Credit and Collections Manager in strengthening and developing a strong internal collections environment within a team.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
The Credit and Collections Specialist is responsible for leading on;
- Reducing debt due to Ornua.
- Daily cash allocation and collection activities, proactively ensuring cash is received as invoices fall due.
- Reviewing sales orders that do not initially pass internal credit checks sent to CC Manager to review.
- Daily forwarding of sales invoices to customers, along with statements as required.
- Regular dialogue with customers and internal colleagues in commercial and supply chain to resolve errors and disputes.
- Handle customer accounts to ensure payments are in line with agreed terms.
- Compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Completion of Weekly Aged Debtors report for review by Credit and Collections Manager
- Completion of the Customer Set Up Process and customer changes to be reviewed by the Credit Collections Manager.
- Other ad-hoc duties and reporting requirements as assigned by the Credit and Collections Manager.
What You Bring To The Role:
- Practical and demonstrable experience in a Credit and Collections role.
- Experience of working with an ERP system, such as Infor, SAP, Sage
- Practical experience of Microsoft office software, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills required, both internally and externally, using telephone or email to suit the circumstances.
