About the Role To provide financial deal shaping expertise on our largest and most complex pan European opportunities, providing advice on client commercials, and reaching equitable arrangements for PwC and our clients.
To provide financial costing, pricing and deal shaping support, from inception to contract, ensuring a balance of risks, value to the client and to PwC; both parties' objectives are achieved ensuring the integrity of deal financials reflecting the solution and adhering to policies,standards and best practice identifying lessons learned from previous opportunities and for policy, standards and best
practice evolution.
Key responsibilities - To provide financial costing, pricing and deal shaping support, from inception to contract,
- Balance of risk, value to the client and to PwC; both parties' objectives are achieved
- Ensuring the integrity of deal financials reflecting the solution and adhering to policies, standards and best practice
- Identifying lessons learned from previous opportunities and for policy, standards and best practice evolution
- Manage the parallel development Client Business Case, the PwC Business Case and work closely with Client and their Finance Team to reinforce the client value proposition and to ensure we understand the way the client will evaluate the business proposition, including:
- Manage the costing, ensuring consistency with the solution
- Analyse relevant cost drivers and determine fixed and variable costs
- Develop client baseline and identify missing information.
- Use costing information to provide pricing
- Respond to changes in the business case or to the deal shape
- Perform scenario analysis
- Document key assumptions and generate key assumptions for areas in which
- insufficient data is available
- Understand risks and opportunities for client and for PwC, and analyse the
- Commercial and financial impact of potential outcomes
- Take lead role in developing the messages and explaining the business cases to the Senior Executives
- Ensuring consistency in commercial arrangements across clients
- Advise and recommend innovative technical solutions as appropriate, e.g. pricing,
- financing, structuring terms to deliver maximum value for all parties
- Participate in Client sales presentations and perform "at the table" involvement and
- Participate in the Commercial Forum to provide insights required to make the correct
- Clients - communication with the finance executives on pricing and baselines
