Job description
Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Therapist to join their medical practice. As a Dental Therapist, you will be responsible for providing patients with preventative and restorative dental care, as well as educating them on oral health practices. You will work alongside dentists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and high-quality dental care. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, possess excellent communication skills, and be knowledgeable in the latest dental techniques and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dental examinations to assess patient needs and create treatment plans
- Perform preventative dental procedures such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation
- Perform restorative procedures such as fillings, crowns, and bridges
- Educate patients on dental disease prevention and oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Dental Therapy from an accredited institution
- GDC Registered
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in the latest dental software and technologies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
