My client is a leading engineering and manufacturing business currently recruiting for a experienced manufacturing engineer to join the business.
The successful candidate must have experience in 5 axis CNC milling and have worked with Siemens NX and be proficient in CAD/CAM.
Key Responsibilities – Associate Manufacturing Engineer
- Develop and facilitate the implementation of efficient methods and processes based on 3D models for introducing products to manufacturing areas.
- Contribute to the establishment and execution of manufacturing systems aligned with best practices.
- Aid in the formulation of effective procedures to enhance the quality of processes.
- Define standard operation times for each task, focusing on minimizing the seven types of waste (Over Production, Inventory, Waiting, Motion, Transportation, Rework, Over Processing).
- Offer "Practical Problem Solving" assistance in addressing process or yield issues within the business.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineer(s) and Technician(s) in creating, reviewing, and approving gauging, fixtures, and special tooling necessary for the efficient production of machined and assembled products.
- Take the lead in creating new processes to develop turn-key packages for other Manufacturing facilities, enhancing reliability and supply flexibility.
- Ensure the compatibility of engineering drawings and specifications with manufacturing and fabrication capabilities by reviewing and suggesting changes to enhance productivity.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, ensuring that new designs align with the manufacturing strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements – Associate Manufacturing Engineer
- Preferably hold a BSc Degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) or its equivalent in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Alternatively, possess an HNC/HND (vocational, professional, or advanced) or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering.
- Demonstrate significant progressive experience in manufacturing/process engineering, typically gained after completing formal education
