Job description
KEY DUTIES To ensure a good standard of nursing care is delivered to patients using the Radiology service. To plan roles for nursing staff so that nursing input is given where it is required. To be responsible for ordering, sorting and safe use of drugs within the department, as per trust policies. Liaise with medical representatives from external suppliers and order specialist medical / devices equipment needed to perform procedures carried out within the departments. Responsible for ordering and control of stock items required to ensure the smooth running of the department. This will include domestic supplies, medical and surgical sundries. Carry out daily checks on emergency equipment. Liaise with other professional bodies and support staff on nursing issues and their application within Radiology. Contribute to policy and practice changes arising from audits, complaints etc.
