Job description

Priory Hospital East Midlands is comprised of: Littlemore Ward - female psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) Barton Ward - an acute ward for females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and personality disorders The service will be dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care, which will enable patient’s recovery and re-engagement with the community. Reporting to our Director of Clinical Services, the Night Manager will work alongside the Unit Managers and lead the Night Manager team on a 3 on 3 off shift pattern alongside another NSM covering the alternative shift pattern. In this role you will  be responsible for overseeing the hospital at night, providing leadership and support to the ward based nursing teams, and clinical supervision.  You will ensure that a high standard of patient care is provided and that wards hospital comply with all quality standards and statutory requirements throughout the night shift. You will also be required to carry out some audits, quality walk abouts and supervision of staff. Essential criteria: RMN / RNLD Post registration experience. Experience of working as a Deputy Manager or equivalent role Good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act Ability to undertake physical requirements of PMVA Ability to be responsive and flexible We are looking for someone that can lead the hospital at night and ensure safety levels are adhered to at all times.
