Learning Support Assistant
Location: Brecon
Fulltime: Salary £12.94 - £13.57 per hour, 39 weeks per year, Term Time Only based on 37.5 hours per week

Nestled at the foot of the Brecon Beacons National Park with spectacular views of the mountains Ty Bronllys is a specialist school and children's home in Powys for children with autism and a learning disability. Ty Bronllys was the first Orbis service to open in 2008, and since then we have seen many children develop, grow and move on with confidence and life skills.
A typical day will include:
- Providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities using a variety of teaching approaches and activities support pupils to make progress towards their agreed accreditations.
- Supporting teachers with the planning, preparation and assessment of learning opportunities.
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of off-site activities.
- Assisting pupils who require help during morning routines, lunch/break times or with personal care.

- Qualification in English & Maths;
- Ability to relate well to pupils and build positive and respectful relationships that are on a professional level;
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
- Must be able to show initiative;
- Ability to offer personal care in a respectful way.
