Job Description
The Credit Controller will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts, monitoring their financial health and creditworthiness.
- Actively chasing and collecting outstanding payments, ensuring adherence to credit policies and guidelines.
- Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely manner.
- Communicating effectively with customers to establish payment plans and negotiate settlements when necessary.
- Regularly reviewing and assessing credit limits and terms, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Collaborating with internal teams to provide credit information and support decision-making.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and payment history.
- Generating reports and analysis to track key credit metrics and identify potential risks.
- Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in credit control.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Credit Controller will have:
- A proven track record as a Credit Controller or in a related financial role.
- Strong knowledge of credit management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
