Payroll Manager – Reading- £35,000 - £40,000 (hybrid)

Wade Macdonald is currently partnering with a highly successful and rapidly expanding, impressive organisation based in Reading. They’re undergoing a period ofgrowth and looking for a Payroll Manager who will work alongside HR and take full responsibility in managing the payroll function.

What will be the responsibilities in this role?

• Managing in-house payroll process for all employees
• Maintaining payroll system to ensure up-to-date wage rates
• Handling holiday allocation within the HR system
• Managing time and attendance system
• Processing starters and leavers into Sage Payroll
• Handling expense claims and calculations of statutory payments and attachment of earnings
• Completing all RTI submissions to HMRC and Apprenticeship Levy submissions
• Utilising the BACS system for payment of net salaries
• Maintaining pension records and uploading monthly files and payments
• Preparing and distributing pay slips (P45's, and P60's)
• Run end of payroll reports for accounts and reports as required by auditors and management

What experience do you need?

• Ability to work accurately and calmly to tight deadlines
• Strong numeracy skills and a keen eye for detail
• Either possess a payroll qualification or be qualified by experience
• Understanding of the pension auto enrolment process
• Proficient in all MS Office Packages especially Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
