Job description
My Client is a water company and they are looking to recruit Water Leakage Engineers on a permanent or contract basis. This will be home working.
This role is:
- First line of escalation for the Network Engineers
- To be part of a successful project team delivering well defined leakage solutions for our client
- To present the business well in front of our client
- To add value to and demonstrate the benefit of employing our client
Some of the main responsibilities for this role include:
- Promote an average of one advanced pressure management scheme per day for approval by the client
- Contribute to problem solving within the team
- Lead team meetings as required
- Give the client confidence that the scheme has been developed following best practice and their agreed process
- Demonstrate an understanding of how the cost and benefit have been estimated
- Measure the cost and benefit at the end of the scheme, be able to explain the reason for variation, and embed the learning into the team for the next scheme being promoted
Requirements
- Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Full driving licence
- Minimum of 4 years water sector experience in operations or capital programme
- Recent Team leader experience
knowledge, Skills and abilities:
- A working knowledge of pressure management and leakage
- A good understanding of how water distribution systems work
- The ability to identify the key risks when modifying a distribution system
- A working knowledge of proprietary leakage management systems such as WaterNet or NetBase
- Competent user of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
