Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Birkenhead, Merseyside

We are recruiting on behalf of a small practice in Birkenhead for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon join their team. This role is full time with shifts from 8:30am to 6:30pm, along with Saturdays on a rota. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
- Type: Small animal
- Hours: Full time, shifts from 8:30am to 6:30pm
- Weekends: Saturdays on a rota
- OOH: None
- Computer system: Merlin
- Consultations: 15 minutes
The role
- The role offers a varied caseload with various types of surgeries and consultations
- The role will offer the Vet the opportunity to pursue areas of special interest
- The role offers flexible working pattern and shifts to suit a good work-life balance - EG to work around school pick up
- The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
- The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.
About them:
- Established small animal practice
- One main site with two branch surgeries
- They are fully equipped with facilities including 4 air conditioned consulting rooms, operating suite, X-ray, hydrotherapy suite, cat and dog wards, and diagnostics including in house laboratory (IDEXX), digital x-ray, dental x-ray and Ultrasound. They also boast a range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical equipment.

- They have a team of 7 Vets, 5 RVNS, 3 SVNs and 3 VCAs

About you
- They are looking for a Vet who will support the positive team culture that the practice has created.

- The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
- The Vet will be capable of using their own initiative and use their time and resources effectively
- The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills and ability to build working relationships easily
- The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients
Package
- Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with service and birthday off
- CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 5 days to attend
- Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid

Must haves:
