Job description

Fold Bistro & Bottle Shop are recruiting for a Front of House apprentice. The successful candidate will work towards a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship over the duration of 16 months.

Job Details:
Alcoholic Beverage Service - Learners will gain knowledge of various alcoholic beverages, their characteristics, how to prepare, serve and store them, and how to use specialist equipment for preparing and serving. They will specialise in one of the following three areas: wine service; beer/cask ale; cocktails/mixology.
Food and Beverage Service - Learners will gain skills in greeting customers, understanding and promoting menus, matching menu items with beverages, taking and processing orders, serving food and drink, and taking payments.
House Keeping - Learners will develop a range of cleaning and maintenance skills and understand the importance of responsibility using cleaning equipment, techniques, chemicals and agents. They will clean and maintain public areas including furniture, fixtures and fittings, soft and hard flooring.
Responsibilities
• Delivering excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Develop excellent product knowledge both in the Restaurant and Bottle Shop
• Gain detailed knowledge of how to execute impeccable floor set up and break down
• Support positive brand and business promotion
• Become an effective communicator and link between front of house and the kitchen team

Hours of Work
Rota basis Wed-Sun earliest start 8:00am latest finish 11:00pm / 30 mins lunch / 40 hours per week
