Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum pro rata / 18 – 22.5 hours per week
A new and exciting opportunity for a part-time leader to spearhead the strategic evolution of a much loved and thriving local community centre.
The trustees of this Richmond charity have been energetically engaged in the development of the Cambrian Community Centre.
As the first post holder in this new role you will have substantial potential to make a significant difference by shaping, and taking the Centre through, the next stage of its strategic development.
The Centre is located in an area of social and sheltered housing, the Queen’s Road Estate in Richmond, and focusses on improving health, wellbeing and community strength. It consists of two meeting rooms and a community gym with a wide range of regularly-held activities.
In addition, the centre hosts a weekly lunchtime café, delivered in partnership with The Real Junk Food Project, activities provided in partnership with other organisations, such as a weekly Teenagers’ Club and IT support sessions for older people, and has a spare room available for public hire (eg. children’s ballet, children’s and meetings).

Applicants should be educated to degree-level and will need to be able to demonstrate successful management experience in the voluntary, charity, community sector, with a track record of developing and delivering community-focused services.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, plus others relevant to the job content, are also required.
The post offers a combination of onsite and home home-working.
Some flexibility in working pattern, including around school holiday periods, is available.
