We are seeking a qualified Finance Controller to join the finance team based in High Wycombe. The role of the Finance Controller is to provide meaningful financial information and advice to Business managers in order to facilitate sound business decisions.

The role responsibilities are as follows:
Responsible for preparation of UK accounts:
- Manage the UK Finance Team including cost accountant, assistant accountant and trainee accountant
- Produce accurate site management accounts & upload to consolidation reporting system (Cognos Controller)
- Produce commentary and analysis to support the monthly accounts
- Review revenue and margin analysis reports based on product/region/segment on a monthly basis
- Regular review of stock and stock provisions
- Review and approve all balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Manage UK expense process for HW site (outsourced function)
- Liaise with auditors to complete the interim and full year audit. Support Group Finance with any additional queries for the statutory accounts.
- Review monthly Visual Management KPI data
- Review weekly orders forecast and budget.
- Produce weekly revenue forecast – ensuring shipments are cleared by the overseas offices in a timely manner
Budgeting and planning:
- Produce the orders budgets and the full P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and FX budget
- Forecasting cash & FX on a quarterly basis
- Support to develop the 5 year plan on an annual basis
Support:
- Actively support R&D process working closely with project managers and business managers on project/product investment evaluations
- Actively encourage and engage in continuous improvement activities both in the finance team and in the broader business
- Work closely with operations to ensure appropriate controls in place on a day to day business including inventory controls, cycle counting and stock valuation
- Support other regular and one-off business decisions using appropriate techniques (e.g. sensitivity analysis, investment evaluation techniques, etc)
- Proactively provide regular and ad hoc financial information, analysis and business advice to managers.
- Coach and support managers with financially-based analysis and decision making
- Maintain effective working relationships with budget holder managers within the business.
