Due to the growth of Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust – including our new Primary Provision and our expansion beyond Solihull in the West Midlands – we are looking for a highly–motivated individual to join us in this exciting, brand–new role of Director of Education.

Throughout our rapid expansion we have continued to recruit committed, passionate and talented expert staff who ensure ambitious, adaptive teaching and curriculum alongside a full range of interventions to help change the outcomes of – and life chances for – our children for the better.

Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust is an Alternative Provision like no other. We provide innovative solutions for students when mainstream education is simply not working. We are constantly evolving our approach according to the needs of each individual child by focusing on creating bespoke, proactive and personalised pathways and experiences.

Our vision for the children in our care is a relentless focus on positive destinations and eliminating NEETs (young people not in education, employment or training).

ABOUT THIS ROLE

This is an Executive role which demands only the highest–calibre candidates. You must have a proven track record of excellent leadership of driving reform in quality of education and outcomes across more than one school or provision.

As Director of Education, you'll lead with distinction, harnessing your proven track record of exemplary leadership to manifest positive change across multiple settings. Collaborating closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Academy leads and commissioners, you will craft and execute school improvement plans focused on optimising the quality of education and achieving outstanding outcomes aligned with our Trust's vision.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

We welcome applications from individuals with extensive and demonstrable leadership impact and from a wide range of backgrounds. Experience with Alternative Provision settings and an understanding of AP is essential.

Applicants must have previously served as a Headteacher or Principal and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of what makes the quality of education outstanding.
