Job description

Public Sector Partnership Services Ltd was created in 2010 as a Local Authority Trading Company, wholly owned by our shareholder Councils in Lincolnshire. We are an arms-length service provider, overseen by a Board of Directors made up of representatives from across our three Councils.
We provide a range of professional back and front office services including Financial Services, HR & Payroll, ICT & Digital, Procurement, Customer Contact, Revenues and Benefits, Health & Safety, Telecare and have an internal Corporate Services function.
PSPS is now seeking to appoint two Non-Executive Directors (NED) to its Board of Directors. This is an exceptional opportunity to share your talents and expertise to make a positive difference to our company, our Councils and local residents to whom we provide services for in South Holland, East Lindsey and Boston.
Successful applicants will join the PSPS Board of Directors at an exciting time, as we are about to launch our new 2024-2027 Business & Transformation Plans.
As a Non-Executive Director, you will:
• Provide strategic direction, leadership, and challenge to the Board of Directors to ensure that PSPS can be the best it can be
• Champion the PSPS values and behaviours in all interactions with our organisation
• Ensure that PSPS fulfils its statutory and legislative responsibilities
• Use your own professional expertise and experience to enhance PSPS’s governance and strategy
• Champion the standards of public life – by upholding the highest standards of conduct and displaying the Nolan principles: Selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, and leadership.

Time Commitments:
• Board Meetings held on Mondays – 5x annually ½ day per meeting
• Board Development Day generally held Thursday – 2x annually full days meeting
• Board Papers reading/preparation time – 5x ½ days
* Please note these time allocations are approx. and could change as per business needs.

• An up-to-date CV which shows your full career history, qualifications, experience including details of any other Non-Executive Director roles held (max of 3 pages). You will also need to include details of two referees.
• A supporting statement outlining your skills and interest in the role, and how your experience meets the person specification (max of 2 pages)
• You will also need to complete a declaration form outlining any potential conflicts of interest or professional/personal relationships with any individuals connected to PSPS or our shareholder Councils this will be emailed to you after CV and supporting statement is submitted.

Remuneration £4000 per annum (which includes travel allowance)- paid monthly
