Job description
Our client in the public sector is seeking a dedicated and experienced Homeless & Housing Solutions Officer to join their team. This vital role serves as the cornerstone of support for both clients and support workers, ensuring the highest standards of health and wellbeing management within the service.
Location: Hybrid Role – Home working with 2/3 days in the office.
Duration of assignment: 12 weeks to 6 months
Working hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday
Rate: £15.70 - £17.12 PAYE
20.41 - £22.26
IR35 status: Inside IR35
Job description:
Duty cover – face to face and by telephone;
Assess and case working homeless applications made to the council, working under homelessness legislation (Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 – ‘HRA’)
Confident working knowledge of Part 7 and Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996.
Able to offer sound housing advice to applicants.
Remaining aware of statutory and case law changes; and staying abreast of local and national issues relating to Homelessness’.
Working as part of a team of officers; and remaining flexible to conflicting demand.
Attending meetings where requested.
