Innovasea is now seeking a Global Senior Product Manager to work internationally with a cross-functional team of architects, software developers and engineers. In this role you will guide and direct our digital strategy, define, and prioritize product roadmaps and guide new requirements from conception to launch.
This position can be situated in one of four offices, Bedford, NS, Boston, MA, Corinth, GR or Bergen, NO.
You will use a mix of your strong leadership, technical, and communication skills to plan and coordinate software activities and ensure delivery goals are met. In this role you will foster a positive team environment focusing on communication and collaboration with other company divisions and functions.
Key responsibilities and tasks in this role
- Work with senior stakeholders to help define our digital strategy for aquaculture customers
- Perform and analyze the market and strategies related to software product development
- Be the voice of the customer in all aspects of software development and delivery process
- Develop project plans identifying project deliverables, schedules, milestones, and risks
- Coordinate project activities to ensure goals and requirements are met
- Report progress to team members and key milestones to leadership team
- Define product requirements from customers, business units and other stakeholders by utilizing user stories, acceptance criteria and scenarios
- Coordinate with Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies, supporting collateral, and product training materials to support new releases
- Train stakeholders and customers on new software developments
- Perform competitive analysis to recognize opportunities
- Inform strategy based on customer and market feedback
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovative thinking
You will be reporting to the Vice President and General Manager of Aquaculture Intelligence
Required Skills and Experience
- This role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field (equivalent experience may be
- considered)
- 5+ years of product management experience
- 5+ years of experience in the aquaculture industry
- Experience driving the elements of the product development lifecycle
- Experience working cross-functionally (e.g., Engineering, UX/UI, Program Management)
- Ability to travel to our Domestic and International related events (US and Europe) is required
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SaaS software
- Experience developing business-to-business Internet products and technologies
- Product management or design experience with a focus on software products and technologies
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
- Excellent technical background (e.g., Past role as software developer/technical leader)
- Experience with aquaculture decision makers to optimize production and production planning
- Understanding the ecosystem of services and products supporting the aquaculture industry
- Experience developing and launching products within Cloud, SaaS, or Enterprise
- Experience in creating strategic product roadmap(s) from conception to launch
