Job Description

We invite you to be a part of our pre-opening team at the all-new ibis Styles London Gatwick Airport which takes flight this Spring! We are on the lookout for a dynamic Sales Manager to contribute to the launch of our 182-bedroom hotel. Featuring an event space, a spacious restaurant and bar, our hotel is ideally located just 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport.

The Role

Your mission is to introduce ibis Styles London Gatwick to both corporate and leisure markets in Crawley and the Gatwick airport vicinity. As one of the pioneering team members, you will be on-site for our planned opening in Spring 2024, and an immediate start is preferred but we understand this won't be achievable for all candidates.

• Grow our business across various sectors, catering to local corporate accounts (including airline crews), conference & events business, and leisure guests.
• Demonstrate expertise in driving the sales process from planning to closure, with consistent performance tracking and review.
• Showcase our property through organized tours and familiarisation trips.
• Participate in networking opportunities to expand our presence in Crawley and surrounding areas.
• Elevate the property's profile by representing the hotel at events.
• Collaborate closely with the General Manager and the broader Operations and Commercial Team.

The Nitty Gritty

• Competitive salary of £37,500 along with benefits.
• Workdays from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as needed and agreed upon with the General Manager. 
• Role based at the hotel; a valid driver's license required for local travel.
• 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), with an option to purchase an extra week if necessary.
• Additional benefits include a discretionary bonus, a company pension scheme, life assurance, employee discounts, and an extra day off for your birthday.
• Cycle to work scheme and access to the Health Assured App also available.

Who We're Looking For

• Minimum of two years of branded experience in hotel sales (Accor experience is a bonus but not mandatory).
• Experience with airport markets and openings is advantageous.
• Proficient networker with a passion for hospitality and people.
• Proactive and hands-on, with the ability to uncover new opportunities.
• Flexibility to attend evening and weekend events when necessary.
