Job description
Sussex Teachers are working with an independent specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education to pupils from 10 to 19 years of age in Lewes, to find a Maths Teacher to start permanently in September 2024.
This school has children who come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. The work they do is both varied and challenging and, as a trauma and attachment-informed organisation, all staff are provided with extensive therapeutic training and support. The school has two sites, on the outskirts of Lewes and Newhaven, and you will need to travel between the two sites, so your own transport is necessary.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Mathematics specialist, either secondary trained or a primary teacher with a maths specialism. The curriculum covers Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key stage 3 and GCSE.
