The role
An exciting role within our Order to Cash team has arisen. This role will be the main point of contact for the processing and accurate allocation of all incoming payments for the Medivet Group. The team’s workload is both high paced and high volume, and so a hands-on Team Leader is required. The position will be based within our Support Centre in Watford, Hertfordshire 5 days per week.
- Main point of contact for the Sales Ledger and Freedom Banking teams
- Take responsibility for and oversee the correct posting of all incoming funds and daily bank reconciliation for 4 group companies
- Monitoring daily, weekly & monthly activities
- Liaison with internal and external customers to handle queries and resolve problems within the company guidelines and policies
- Develop and adhere to procedures and processes for handling all elements affecting cashflow and the financial accounts.
- Regularly review current practices and processes continuously seeking improvements and implementing changes to improve our system
- Work collaboratively with OTC management and wider finance teams to help drive forward improvements to existing procedures and processes.
- Carry out any necessary internal audit reviews and monitor effectiveness of systems and controls
- Delegation of tasks within the team to ensure they operate effectively
- Ensure agreed deadlines and SLAs are met
- Managing personal and department inbox and responding to queries within a timely manner
- Supervision of ten members of staff
- Share knowledge and experience with team members
- Conducting appraisals and 1-1s with team members, identifying training, development, and opportunities for improvement
- Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required
Your skills and experience
- At least 10 years Sales Ledger experience
- Experience of working with high volume of transactions, preferably multi-site.
- Demonstrable experience successfully leading a large team
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proactive nature, proven ability to investigate and resolve issues.
- Resilience and ability to challenge appropriately.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, specifically at Month End.
- Excellent email and letter writing skills
- Confident and polite telephone manner
- A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate
- Ability to work use own initiative as well as within a team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
