This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the UKs largest and most well-known medical charities and play an integral role in the creation of inspiring, social media content and community management. You’ll be able to work flexibly, with a minimum of 1 day every two weeks in their Peterborough office.
The team are dedicated to improving and saving the lives of millions through ground-breaking research, improving patient care and raising awareness, they are a dynamic and passionate team, driving change and refusing to settle for the status quo.
They are looking for a social media whiz, who loves engaging with a variety of audiences and keeping social content fresh across all channels to increase reach, raise awareness, and drive engagement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and develop the charities social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and Twitter.
- Monitor social media content and technology to ensure the charity keep up to date with trends.
- Plan, manage and schedule daily social media content.
- Coordinate social media awareness campaigns, to support the wider charity activity.
- Monitor, listen and respond to members of the charity’s community.
- Manage the out of hours Rota to monitor social channels out of hours.
- Attend events where required, to gather content for social media purposes.
- Measure and evaluate organic and paid social media activity using analytics packages.
- Use digital tools such as Canva / adobe suite to create a variety of digital content.
- Liaise with external agencies for videography etc., brief and manage the process.
To be successful you will have:
- 2 years’ experience managing companies’ social media platforms.
- Paid and organic social media experience
- Digital content creation, Adobe suite or similar
- Due to travel to events, you must be able to drive and have access to your own car for this role.

Due to their office being based in Peterborough and the role offering flexible working the role is commutable from most of Cambridgeshire including, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely, St Neots, Cambourne, Wittering, Bourne, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Godmanchester, Swavesey, Granham., Kings Lynn.
