Job description
Our client a leading independent freight forwarding company based in Witham has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Sales Executive to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will need experience in the Logistics Industry specifically European Road Freight.
Key Responsibilities.
* Achieving sales targets by seeking and acquiring new customers specially to the Road Freight department and generally for the company.
* Working with the Directors and management to raise the company's profile in the Road Freight sector within the UK.
Main Duties.
* Maintaining and developing relationships with both new and existing customers via face-to-face meetings, Video Conference Meetings, telephone calls and emails.
* Visiting potential customers for new business.
* Sourcing information for potential new business, from new and historical clients.
* Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
* Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
* Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on potential future buying trends.
* Potentially representing the company at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
* Advising variations in price, delivery, and specifications to the Board of Directors.
* Working with the Board of Directors to identify new markets and business opportunities.
* Recording sales and order information and sending copies to your colleagues.
* Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
* Completing a visit report for each visit attended.
Salary for this position is between £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, plus commission.
The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm.
A DBS check will be required for this position (paid for by the company)
