Job Summary
Kiwa UK is looking for a Management Accountant to join the UK Finance Team on a fixed term 6-9 month maternity contract. Our Management Accountant will provide leadership and accountability for the Financial Function in supporting the strategic cluster. This role is located in Harrogate with Hybrid Working.

About the role Daily activities:
- In collaboration with the Finance Director and Financial Controllers, ensure the accurate preparation and timely submission of all financial reporting in line with both the UK and Corporate requirements, currently encompassing the Kiwa UK Group internal management accounts pack, and monthly reporting for Business Units.
- Work as a Business Partner with the SMT leader and Cluster FCs, driving commercial decision making and robust control adherence.
- Support the Financial Accountant on Statutory Accounts production and Corporate Tax packs.
- Quarterly VAT returns/preparation/submission – in partnership with the Finance Team.
- Complete weekly revenue and cost reconciliation exercises
- Oversee the full p&l and balance sheet codes for the Strategic Business Units.
- Monthly reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts.
- Monthly uploading of data into OneStream in support of the Cluster Financial Controllers
- Assist in managing interfaces with external stakeholders such as Auditors, Tax advisors, HMRC, Banks, etc.
Culture:
- Play a key role in a capable and professional Finance Team to deliver output to the satisfaction of all stakeholders, in particular internal customers.
- In collaboration with the UK FD and Cluster Financial Controller develop and implement improved reporting systems, to ensure the Cluster Director & BU SMT are fully supported in their growth plans for 2023 and beyond.
- Support the successful Integration of acquired businesses
- Support the BU’s with the development of business plans and budget management, assist them in running their businesses successfully by ensuring they have access to timely, accurate and relevant financial information,
- identifying trends and efficiencies
Do you have what it takes?- Strong technical knowledge and experience around revenue and cost recognition within a service business
- The ability to plan strategically and balance commerciality
- Relevant experience and strong working knowledge of ERP Systems
- The ability to deliver to tight timescales and deadlines consistently
- Excellent day to day planning and organisational skills
- Dynamism, aptitude for problem solving and teamwork, practicality, reliability, flexibility, and results oriented
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels
- The ability to engage and influence colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives
What can you expect from us in return?- £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
- 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
