Head of Business Systems

Gloucester - Hybrid

I am currently recruiting for a Head of Business Systems for a global manufacturing organisation who are leaders in their field. Due to investment into a new ERP platform my client are looking to hire a Head of Business Systems to take full ownership of an ERP implementation and the wider systems estate.

The role will be mostly remote but you will need to be flexible to travel to sites across the UK, this will be a minimum of 5 days per month but may require additional days.

The role will suit someone who has a really strong understanding of manufacturing processes and process design and how IT Systems support manufacturing organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for managing and developing business IT systems across the group
• Lead the re-implementation and consolidation of the group's main ERP and business line applications.
• Manage and develop a robust help desk and process for evaluating, developing and testing IT systems, including 3rd party software solutions.
• Ensure adequate security and regulatory compliance of all business solutions.
• Partner directly with the group functions and Business Unit leadership teams to collaborate on transforming and developing systems.
• As part of the group IT leadership team contribute to the overall digital transformation of the group, through providing technical expertise and experience of leading transformation projects.

Required Skills/Experience

• Operated in a similar role within a manufacturing, FMCG or similar sector
• Ability to manage stakeholders with a range of technical knowledge and understanding of business systems
• Significant Project management experience in leading transformation IT change in a group (or similar) organisation
• Technical knowledge and expertise within relevant IT systems eg IFS, Power BI, Oracle, SQL
• Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of various business systems, such as ERP, MES, and supply chain management, is essential. Knowledge of relevant technologies, databases, and software applications used in manufacturing environments is also valuable.
• People leadership experience within a Matrix/Group organisation structure
• Proven capability to create and manage relationships with business and functional leaders
• Passionate change leader with knowledge and experience of behavioural and technical change management
• Experience of developing and delivering business process & system changes in in Matrix/group organisation structure
