Job Title: Business Development Manager
Reports to: General Manager
Working Hours: Dayshift – Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Friday: 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
Salary: Approximately £40,000 per annum
Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate closely with various departments to contribute to the overall business development. This involves acquiring new customers, introducing new products, and enhancing existing components in terms of cost and quality.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Identify and secure new customers while fostering the growth of existing ones.
- Utilize Engineering data to generate product costs for the preparation and submission of customer quotations.
- Monitor product costs across all business areas, with a focus on raw materials, and contribute to quarterly price reviews.
- Coordinate visits to our entire customer base based on their preferences.
- Engage with the senior management team to discuss and make key operational and strategic business decisions.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Persistence and the ability to influence others, facilitating change.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent presentation skills.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.
