Operational People Advisor - St. Austell - Circa: £33,000 

Well Placed HR are delighted to have been reengaged by a long standing client, a high profile services organisation with an excellent reputation for staff retention and development, which makes it a very popular local employer. Due to sustainable growth the business currently seeks to grow its people management function and have tasked us with sourcing an experienced People Advisor to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position to be principally based at the company headquarters in St. Austell, but with some scope for ad-hoc hybrid working where required. 

A broad and interesting opportunity, the successful candidate can expect a true-advisory role with a key focus on providing high quality advice to departments managers and supervisors, in addition to supporting the organisations ongoing recruitment initiatives. Key responsibilities to include: 

- Work closely with the Head of People management to devise, implement and share professional HRM advice with a wide range of department heads

- Act as a key member of the L&D team by developing and promoting best practice at all times in line with high quality CPD

- Play a key role in influencing department heads on appraisal processes, performance and general people management policy

- Offer key advice where absence and capability concerns arise 

- Coach department heads where compliant employee is concerned, including disciplinary and grievance rec=views are concerned 

- Promote high quality employee relations policy 

- Play a key role in supporting department heads with ongoing recruitment projects and processes 

- Ensure digital people management systems are maintained and updated as required

- Assist the Head of People Management and general HRM team with a variety of ongoing projects as required 

Sound like you? For this role we’re searching for an experienced HR Advisor ideally with 12 months+ of recently gained experience in a similar role and ideally working at CIPD level 5 or above. The successful candidate will require good general HR advisory skills, and possess a solid understanding of employment law and statutory regulations. Experience of designing and implementing high quality training programs would also be highly desirable. This is technology driven business where a good understanding of digital people management systems and general MS Office programs will be an essential requirement in addition to excellent communication skills.
