Description and Requirements
As a Contracts Manager at Lenovo, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's contractual agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks, and fostering strong relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilitie s:
- Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation and negotiation to execution and closeout. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect the company's interests and minimize risk.
- Compliance: Ensure that all contracts and agreements comply with legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and evaluate potential risks in contracts and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Recommend improvements to contract templates and negotiation processes to enhance risk management.
- Vendor and Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners. Address any contract-related concerns, disputes, or issues promptly and professionally.
- Contract Administration: Develop and maintain a contracts database or management system to track and organize contract documents, milestones, and deadlines.
- Contract Performance: Monitor contract performance and compliance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliverables, and ensure that both parties fulfill their contractual obligations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of contract administrators or specialists to ensure efficient contract management processes.
- Legal and Regulatory Expertise: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact contracts and ensure that the company remains in compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) or Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in contracts management, preferably in the [industry].
- In-depth knowledge of contract law and legal requirements related to contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with contract management software and tools.
- Leadership and team management experience.
