King David High School is a Jewish faith based school located in South Liverpool and serving the needs of the Jewish and wider community.
King David High School has a strong tradition of academic excellence. Our examination results and value added are well above the national average. This is reflected in the structure and teaching within the science department. The successful candidate is expected to have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach outstanding lessons. In return, they can expect well-motivated pupils and supportive colleagues. Science is a very popular subject with a large uptake in the sixth form.
The science department has six teaching laboratories, a large prep room, and access to a purpose-built lecture theatre with a fully equipped demonstration bench. Two labs are appointed for the teaching of chemistry up to A level. The KDHS science curriculum is practically based, and the successful candidate will be expected to be proficient in the delivery of practical science.
The Maths and Science faculty as a whole is a warm and supportive team that plays a key role in the school consistently attaining some of the highest progress scores in the city.
