We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual for the role of Governance Professional, to join our growing Trust. The successful candidate will have outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to working.
This flexible part time role is primarily home based with the requirement to attend the occasional meeting in person at one of the Trust schools. The contract will initially be based on 180 hours per annum, to be worked flexibly as and when required during term time, with the possibility of additional hours by mutual agreement. As Governance Professional you will:
• act as the main point of contact for all enquiries relating to governance within the Trust;
• maintain and update statutory books, the Trust website, required databases and records in respect of Trustees and Governors;
• maintain the calendar for all board and governor body meetings, including drafting agendas, co-ordinating papers, attending the meetings as Clerk, taking minutes and advising on procedure;
• play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of governance, including fulfilling legal and regulatory requirements across our organisation, whilst facilitating communication between the board and executive leaders;
• leverage technology and innovation to streamline governance processes and improve decision-making efficiency;
• foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity within governance structures to ensure equitable representation and perspectives;
• act as company secretary.
Our Directors include highly qualified and well-regarded members of the community, each of whom bring a wide range of commercial, professional and educational expertise to our Trust. Your vital administrative, organisational and process support and advice will ensure effective and efficient governance at Trust and local level.
