CER are proud to be working with one of our partnership schools who are seeking an engaging Maths Teacher to join their team in the centre of Sheffield.

Pay rates: £140.00-£210.00 per day

About our client school: A vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school located in Sheffield who have been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and are a fast-improving school. Our client school are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time and long-term basis until the end of the academic year.

Position Overview: As a Maths Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and engage students in Mathematics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on promoting enthusiasm for the subject and fostering a love of learning. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher to contribute to our supportive and inclusive school community and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Our client school are also keen to hear from Early Career Teachers who are seeking to forge their career within Secondary Education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive maths lessons that are in line with the national curriculum and cater to the needs of all students.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to facilitate active learning and promote student engagement.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic development.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the maths curriculum.
• Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and extracurricular activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for maths education.
• Previous experience teaching maths at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
