About the role

We’re hiring a Project Officer to join our Medicine Calling team! This will include effectively delivering outreach events and initiatives to raise awareness of careers in Mental Health, working closely with colleagues to develop and publicise activities falling under the remit of Medicine Calling, and supporting activities that promote other related areas such as the Medicine Foundation Year.

About you We are seeking a highly experienced Widening Participation professional to join our team. Knowledge of the UK education system and calendar, as well as Safeguarding, risk assessment and systems to support Safeguarding, are essential.

You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with young people, parents, teachers, advisers, and academic and support colleagues in the University. The ability to manage a complex and varied workload, work under pressure and tight deadlines, and work on your own initiative is a must.

The successful applicant for this post will, therefore, be required to give consent for the University to check with the DBS for the existence and content of any criminal record in the form of an Enhanced Disclosure. Information received from the DBS and the police will be kept in strict confidence and will be destroyed once the University is satisfied in this regard.

Additional information Informal enquiries are welcomed and should be directed to Sarah Kasher, Academic Liaison Manager, at [email protected] .

We anticipate that interviews will take place on 11th April 2024.
