The Sr. Associate Director of Admissions works in collaboration with the Director to oversee aspects of the recruitment of prospective students, processing of admissions applications, communication with students and their families, supervision and training of staff counselors who are involved in these activities, and other duties as assigned. All staff positions on campus support students and will be involved in student-focused activities.

- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years minimum experience required and 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Administrative experience in Admissions – processing, college/university recruiting and marketing. Skillful public speaker, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated administrative abilities.

Duty/Responsibility
- Supervision and evaluation of all staff directly responsible for recruiting firs year students.
- Work with the recruitment team to develop and maintain territory management for geographic areas.
- Ensure recruitment staff are meeting goals with applications and territory management.
- Serve as the point of escalation for all admissions related inquiries, including those related to admissions policies and procedures.

- Collaborate with the Director of Admissions to ensure strategies are being applied and created for successful recruitment of undergraduate students.
- Monitor all stages of the application funnel for new first year students to develop and recommend strategies as needed.
- Serve as the primary backup to the Director of Admissions as needed.

- Develop relationships with all assigned populations using all technologies available (Slate).
- Travel (high school and community college visits) within an assigned recruitment territory, conduct interviews, review applications, lead group information sessions (including specific programs for adult learners, veterans and transfers) as needed.
- Conduct information sessions that promote the university and explains the admissions process to transfers, first year adult learners, military veterans, as well as first generation college students from designated territory as needed.
- Participate in all on-campus programs (Open House, Admitted Student Days, etc.)

- Provide support for prospective first-time students, transfers, readmits, military veterans, and adult learners during admissions process and beyond.
- Complex academic policies and protocols are related to the special needs of each of these populations.
- When needed, assist with matters of recruitment and enrollment of international students and work with Designated School Official ( DSO ) with access to the Student Exchange Visitor Information System ( SEVIS ) under the U.S Department of Homeland Security
