Job description

Our client is an established engineering company based in Hastings and Battle, providing a wide range of welding, fabrication and control systems to commercial and domestic clients. They are currently looking for a Business Development and Sales Executive to join their busy and friendly team.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a sales, telephone or customer service role, possess experience of using Zoho or a similar CRM system, a proven track record of working with teams and managing tasks by prioritising workloads. You will be self-disciplined with strong time management skills and be results oriented.

As a Business Development and Sales Executive, you will actively seek out new business for the company to ensure continued growth. You will build relationships and book quality appointments for the client relations team as well as increasing the pipeline for future years.

Due to the location of this role, you do require your own transport.  

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

• Demonstrable experience in a sales, telephone and/or customer service role
• Possess previous experience of using Zoho or similar CRM system

• Be persistent and results oriented

• Have own transport

Your duties as a Business Development and Sales Executive will include:

• Researching new clients, contacts and projects using relevant websites to gain knowledge – using LinkedIn, Barbour ABI, Planning Portals, etc.
• Booking face to face appointments with new and potential clients in relation to new projects, products, innovations, etc.
• Booking CPD presentations and Mock up mornings within architect practises
• Following up project leads received through to Stage 4 Design submitted (CRM Stages 0 and 1)
• Following up every architect spark possible to ensure there is consistent pipeline growth and we capitalise on every possible specification
• Ensuring database is clean
• CPD admin when required
• Support on following up marketing leads and web enquiry leads
• Attending internal meetings when requested
• Other duties as directed

Salary:

£28,000 – £30,000 per annum

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm
