Highly professional and experienced live in Governess sought for a role based in Little Milton, Oxfordshire. The Nanny/Governess will be responsible in caring for two boys ages 12 and 6 years. The role will be on a mixture of sole and shared charge (when Mum is home). The family are looking for an extremely knowledgeable, discrete and organised Governess. A candidate who has a passion for learning and education is key. Governess duties will include assisting with the children’s language, reading and writing. You will also support with taking the children to school (older son attends boarding school on Thursdays and Fridays), classes, liaising with school, assisting with homework, and planning age-appropriate activities to support their development. You will also be responsible for nursery duties; child related laundry and cooking for the children. The chosen candidate will be flexible and a self-starter - able to use their initiative. A French speaker would be a bonus. Previous Governess and teaching experience is essential. A driver is essential and a car will be provided whilst on duty. Cleaner also employed. Hours; Monday – Friday, 6am – 7pm with some downtime during the day whilst the children are at school. Flexibility to also assist for one weekend per month and to take two days off during the week would be a bonus. Monthly proxy parenting and 2 nights of babysitting per week required. Travel will also be required including for up to 4-5 weeks during the Summer as the family travel to the US. Accommodation provided is own bedroom and bathroom (however bathroom may be shared if staying over the weekend). Offering a salary of up to £70,000gpa depending on experience and role to commence ASAP.
